Celebrate

Hi and thanks for checking out my blog.  Times are getting difficult but we can still find joy in celebrating and sharing cards is the perfect way to let someone know you are thinking about them.  This card is to wish that someone special a Happy Anniversary and while you cannot go out for a romantic dinner you can still let the other half know life is better with them.

All available products used are shown at the end of the post and the process of putting it together is as follows;
  • Start with card base, A4 Pretty Peacock cut in half portrait at 10.5 cm and fold in half
  • First layer cut to 10.4 x 14.2 cm - Night of Navy cardstock (this layer is optional)
  • Third layer cut to 10 x 13.8 cm - Whisper White cardstock
  • Cut Many Medallions die from Whisper White cardstock and colour using sponge with ink, applying more ink for darker shade on parts of die cut
  • Cut leaves using Forever Flourishing dies from green cardstock
  • Stamp sentiment on Whisper White and cut with stitched die
  • Attach first layer using Stampin' Seal
  • Attach second layer using dimensionals
  • Attach colour shaded die using liquid glue
  • Attach die cut leaves and laser-cut gold leave as bunch on top of each other a little off-set using liquid glue on stems and lower leaves
  • Cut ribbon approx. 13.5 cm in length, fold in half off-set ends, put Stampin' Seal on ribbon and before sticking down add gold ribbon in circles over and under thicker ribbon
  • Attach sentiment label with dimensionals
  • Trim thicker ribbon as required
The leaves, ribbons and label looks complicated but by putting it together in layers it becomes easier and it doesn't need to look exactly as I have done.  You could put bunch further in middle of card, leave out some laser cut leaves or the gold ribbon and even totally change colour scheme!  Pink with the greens would look nice and there is Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen ribbon.

Inside is a first layer of Whisper White cardstock cut 10 x 14.4 cm, stamp sentiment from Many Mates stamp set and use strip die from Many Medallions to cut cardstock border attached with liquid glue.

Anyway, hope you liked this card, are staying safe and finding ways to enjoy family, friends and celebrations during these ever changing times.  Thanks again for visiting and have a creative good time!
