Demonstrator Training Monthly Blog Hop May

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.  This time I got inspiration from Ros Davidson Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator in South East Melbourne for a way to colour the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP.  The cards she made were done with the colour blocking technique and made me think I could do a sponge technique.

I used a craft mat to put some ink on, spritzed it with a little water and then used the sponge dipped in the ink to colour the paper in sections.  I have used Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana for the blend colours.  My card base is Night of Navy cardstock and layers Rich Razzleberry cardstock cut to 14.1 x 6.8cm, with the DSP cut to 13.7 x 6.2cm. The below is a close up to show the colours blended with the gold of the DSP shinning through and to tie in the 'WITH ALL MY heart...' I gold embossed it.  The sentiment is done using the 2" Circle Punch backed with a 2 3/8" Scallop Punch and images come from the Grace's Garden Stamp set.

Finished off front with Floral Romance Seal and inside used the same Grace's Garden Stamp set with Rich Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana ink.

For me this was the first time creating with the Grace's Garden Bundle so I created another card using some of the dies included.  Colors used were Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight.  Cute little cat is stamped in Crumb Cake ink and 1" Circle Punch cut out the 'Hello'.
