#scrappystriptechnique - Sending Hugs

Hi and thanks for checking out my blog.  This week I thought of sending hugs as we are currently not able to gather with family and friends (I miss seeing my Dad and giving him a big hug) and I tried the Scrappy Strip Technique.  A little less scrap and more planned but you can still get some very different looks.  I took a first layer Ornate Garden Specialty DSP measuring 14.4 x 10 cm and chopped it up on angles while trimming a small section from each piece cut.  Trimming an extra small section enables a gap between each piece when put onto the card base.

The card base is Daffodil Delight with reversible ribbon Old Olive/Petty Peacock under the tag words from Tags in Bloom stamp set cut out with the Label Me Lovely punch. Finished it off with a Best Dressed Petal Pink Tassel adhered using liquid glue.

Inside I used words from same stamp set Tags in Bloom and the flower to complete, all stamped using Early Espresso Ink.  The following one I went even less scrappy and more uniform with the foil DSP.  I cut the first layer DSP 14.4 x 10 cm all on the same angle and approximately 2 inches wide.

The gold foil paper is also from the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP but the gold foil looks amazing that's way I wanted this one looking more uniform.  The tag is the same as other card except I have done white embossing on black cardstock and used white ink to stamp a couple of the little flowers from the Tags in Bloom stamp set.  Finished this with a Floral Romance Seal.  Inside is exactly the same as other card just stamped using Black Ink on a first layer Whisper White cardstock measuring 14.4 x 10 cm.

Anyway that's it for this week, I hope everyone is staying safe and able to use technology to see and stay in tough with loved ones.  If not frequent phone calls and a card in the mail can always brighten someone's day.  Thanks again for visiting and have a creative good time!
